Cloud Criticizes Trump's Easter Iran Threat

New York Liberty guard Natasha Cloud, a WNBA champion, criticized President Donald Trump on Sunday for issuing a threat against Iran on Easter morning. Cloud posted on Threads that a president claiming to be a God-fearing man does not act like one by threatening to bomb Iran's infrastructure on Easter Sunday. She wrote, "A sitting president who claims to be ‘a God fearing man’ to be tweeting on Easter Sunday that he will bomb Iran’s infrastructure IS NOT A MAN OF CHRIST."

Cloud added a biblical reference, noting Jesus was murdered by governing authority for not following their law, which she contrasted with God's law. She then cited the U.S. federal definition of terrorism as the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government or civilians for political objectives. Trump had posted on Truth Social warning Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz or face attacks on power plants and bridges, stating, "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F----n’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah."

Cloud has previously criticized the Trump administration over its use of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. Nearly three years ago, she feuded with former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom after calling the U.S. "trash" ahead of the Fourth of July.

Trump is set to provide an update on the U.S. military operation in Iran on Monday. He has described the conflict as nearing completion, though a deadline over the Strait of Hormuz could signal escalation.
