Kai Trump resumes training ahead of freshman season with Miami Hurricanes golf team

Kai Trump, the 17-year-old granddaughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, shared a video on Instagram Stories of herself performing box squats in the gym ahead of her freshman season with the University of Miami women's golf team.
Trump captioned the post "We’re so back" and tagged her coach, Alex Paup. The video signals her preparation for the 2025-26 season with the Hurricanes.[1]
Trump verbally committed to Miami on June 27, 2024. A native of Jupiter, Florida, she competes out of Trump Golf Jupiter and is a two-time Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Player of the Year for the state of Florida.[2][3]
She enters college ranked No. 44 in the BlueGolf class of 2025 national rankings and has notable wins including the 2023 Trump Golf Club Junior Invitational and the 2022 Junior PGA Championship.[2][3]
In a July 2024 interview with Fox News Digital, Trump expressed her ambition to turn professional after college, stating she "100%" wants to pursue a pro golf career and views Miami as the ideal stepping stone.[4]
The Miami Hurricanes women's golf team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in NCAA Division I. The 2025-26 season is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2025.[2][5]
