Logan Wilson announces NFL retirement via Instagram

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, via his Instagram account. Wilson, 27, reflected on his career from the University of Wyoming to the professional ranks.[1][2]
"After a lot of thought and prayer, I’ve decided to officially retire from the NFL," Wilson wrote. "From being a Wyoming kid with big dreams to hearing my name called in the 3rd round of the 2020 Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals… football gave me more than I ever could have imagined."
He highlighted his tenure with Cincinnati, including the 2021 postseason run to Super Bowl LVI. Wilson recorded a key interception in the AFC divisional playoff victory over the Tennessee Titans on January 22, 2022, helping secure a 19-16 win at Nissan Stadium.[3][4] The Bengals defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game before falling to the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl.
"Cincinnati will always mean a lot to me. The teammates, coaches, staff, and fans made those years unforgettable... And the best part of all, my daughter was born there," he added. Wilson signed off with "Who Dey forever" and "55 out."
Drafted in the third round (No. 65 overall) by the Bengals in 2020, Wilson played 16 games with two starts as a rookie.[5] Through nine games in the 2024 season, he has appeared in 75 career games, with 522 total tackles, 4 sacks and 8 interceptions.[5] He has recorded more than 100 tackles in each season from 2021 to 2024.[5]
