Todd Monken, introduced as head coach of the Cleveland Browns on February 3, 2026, at the CrossCountry Mortgage Campus in Berea, Ohio, missed the annual NFL head coaches group photo during the league's annual meeting in Phoenix this week.[1]

Monken had scheduled a haircut ahead of the photo, which he listed in his agenda for noon Pacific time on Monday. A preceding coaches meeting ended early, allowing the photo to proceed without him. He learned it had been taken upon encountering Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen.[1]

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay also did not appear in the photo.[1]

Monken, formerly offensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens, addressed the Browns' quarterback situation at the meeting.[2]

The depth chart features Deshaun Watson, recovering from an Achilles injury; Shedeur Sanders; and Dillon Gabriel. Under prior coach Kevin Stefanski, Sanders started the final seven games after Gabriel was injured, recording a first win against the Las Vegas Raiders.[1]

Asked ahead of the Browns' offseason program starting April 7 if reps would be evenly split, Monken replied on Tuesday: "I don’t expect the reps to be divided equally."[2] He added that decisions would be based on "basically what we’ve seen in the past and where the year ended last year."[2]
